Lois J. Slick, 84, of Altoona, formerly of Bedford, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday at Graystone Grande Palazzo, Altoona. Lois was born in Reels Corner, Somerset County, daughter of the late John Henry and Isabelle (Miller) Boozer.

On Nov. 29, 1958, she married her husband, Harry Slick, who preceded her in death on Nov. 8, 1997.

She is survived by daughter, Darlene Green, of Aberdeen, Md.; son, Harry (Chrissy) Todd Slick, of Bedford; long term companion, Bill Davis, of Altoona; grandchildren: John Green II, Jessica (Chris) Green-Farley, Jamie Turner (Green) and Kara (Eddy) Bennett; brother, Jim Boozer, of Central City; brother, Wayne Boozer, of Schellsburg; brother, John Boozer, of Somerset; sister, Emily Lasut, in California; along with 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by grandkids, Scherry Slick and Todd Ross Slick; and siblings, Clair Boozer and Margie Boozer.

Lois was a member of Tulls Hill Bible Church.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, especially granddaughter, Kara. Lois loved gardening.

She retired from Valley View Nursing Home, after many years of service.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, 2025, at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Schellsburg, where a funeral service will follow at 2 p.m.

Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Manns Choice.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Lois J. Slick to Camp Mantowagon and Retreat Center, 2671 Camp Lane, Saxton, PA 16678.
