Karen Pearl (Gummo) Lynn, 74, of Altoona, passed away July 20, 2025. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Karen was a dedicated registered nurse for 42 years and a woman who loved her church. Family was what she valued most.
A 1969 graduate of Tyrone High School, Karen completed her RN diploma at Geisinger School of Nursing in 1972 and her BSN at Mount Aloysius College in 1996.
Karen enjoyed quilting and traveling with her many friends and family.
She will be remembered for her strength, kindness and perseverance.
Karen is survived by her husband, Allan; her three children: Kevin (Jennifer) Hoffman, Brian Treon and Lindsey Treon; numerous grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and brother, Barry (Tracey) Gummo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Amber Gummo; and two brothers, John Gummo and a stillborn brother.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, at Hicks Memorial Methodist Church in Duncansville. Interment will be private.
