Granelda J. (Sprow) Yarwood, 91, of Duncansville, passed away Sunday at her residence. She was born in Gallitzin, daughter of the late Harry and Anna (Everhart) Sprow. She married William Yarwood, who preceded her in death in 2000 after sharing over 50 years of marriage.
Surviving are three sons: Curtis of Hollidaysburg, Robert and wife Judy of Duncansville, and Dan and wife Ruth of Altoona; 5 grandchildren: Robert Jr., Lisa, Sandy, Nicole, and Jordan; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by eight siblings.
Granelda worked as a waitress at various restaurants throughout her life.
She was a member of the South Altoona Congregation of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed bowling and visiting Ocean City, Md.
Friends will be received from 10am to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 805 S. 16th St., Altoona, PA 16602, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. Minister James Peters officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the Kingdom Hall.
