Charles R. McCord

In 1982, he married Vicki McCord, who preceded him in death on Oct. 6, 2024.

He is survived by his three daughters: Amber McCord, Mikayla McCord and Molly McCord; a son, Michael (Jen) McCord; three grandchildren: Taylor, Michael Jr. and Cara; five siblings: Malcolm (Jean) McCord, Jackie Bouchard, Brian (Joyce) McCord, Sara Jane Kuhn and Lawrence McCord; and several nieces and nephews.

Charles was a 1963 graduate of Altoona High School and served in the United States Army Reserves. He later retired as a van driver for Maxwell Transit in the Altoona and Martinsburg areas.

He enjoyed hunting and shooting, especially Turkey shoots. He also loved his cars and Western shows.

Friends will be received at the 11 a.m. funeral Mass on Friday, Aug. 8, 2025, at St. Michael’s Church, 301 Spruce St., Hollidaysburg. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
