Barry O. Yingling, 72, of Claysburg, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late Lloyd and Gladys (Dodson) Yingling.
He married Jeanne Thompson on Jan. 29, 1971, in Claysburg.
Surviving are his wife; children: Katherine Burket and Julie Walter (John), both of East Freedom, and Stephanie Zolnak (Brad) of Murrysville; grandchildren: Darren (Taylor), Devon (Emily), Olivia (Noah), Emma, Scarlett, Andersen and Austin; great-grandchildren, Lilly and Paisley; and brothers, Robert of East Freedom and Gerald of Bakers Summit. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Dave Burket.
Barry was a 1970 graduate of Central High School. In 2015, he retired as a first class foundry molder from McLanahan Corp. with 45 years of service.
He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Claysburg.
Barry enjoyed boating, camping, wine making, traveling, hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2025, at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Joel Kletzing officiating. Interment at Bedford County Memorial Park.
