Shirley Rose Krise, 83, passed away Monday at Maple Heights. She was the daughter of Stewart and Ethel (Newman) Smith.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard F. Krise, whom she married on Feb. 11, 1961; and brother, Bill Smith.
She is survived by her five children: Sharon (Jim) Cross of Charlotte, N.C.; Karen (John) Halpin of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; William (Nickole) Krise of St. Augustine, Pa.; Lynn (Jay) Moffitt of Burnsville, Minn.; and Jennifer (Greg) Shehan of Patton. Shirley also leaves behind 11 grandchildren: Ray, Samantha, Shawn, Mike, Mary, Tim, Larry, Kerri, Dani, Stephanie and Mason; 18 great-grandchildren: Alexa, Andrew, Alden, Abigail, Adam, Maggie, Michael, Neil, Elousie, Brenden, Toby, Aulbreauna, Austen, Kailer, Tommy, Leland, Ella and Waylon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Shirley was a homemaker, along with working at Stow Area School District for a short period.
She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, where she was also the church secretary. Shirley enjoyed traveling, cruises, crafts, crocheting, entertaining, cooking for family and volunteering at the hospital in Ocala, Fla.
In accordance with Shirley's wishes, all services will be private, with interment at St. Augustine Cemetery.
