Sherman George Scott Jr.

Sherman George Scott Jr., 90, of Tyrone, formerly of Blandburg, died Tuesday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Blandburg, a son of the late Sherman G. and Alice M. (Firmstone) Scott. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; his parents; a son, Sherman Scott; and two sisters, Minerva Duke and Sally Gustafson. Surviving are sons, James and R. Lynn Scott; grandchildren: Ryan, Christopher, Justin and Kaitlin; great-grand­children, Chloe and Lochlann; and a sister, Theresa Bougher. At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation or service. Arrangements are by McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.
