Robert L. Irwin

He married Louise Campbell in 1959.

Surviving are his wife of 67 years; a son, Robert Irwin and wife, Patricia, of Slatington; son-in- law, David Kozlowski; four grandchildren: Matthew, Stephen, Christopher and Rebecca; a great-granddaughter, Mia; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Paul, in 1962; a daughter, Lori Kozlowski, in 2017; and siblings: John, Margaret and Jane.

Bob was a 1950 graduate of Osceola Mills High School. He graduated from Franklin School of Science and Arts in Philadelphia, Pa., and attended Penn State.

Bob served in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman during the Korean conflict.

He retired from the Altoona VA Hospital after more than 30 years and then worked at Warner’s Florist.

Bob was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.

He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and was an avid Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.

Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a Vigil service will be held.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4, 2025, at St. Michael Catholic Church with Father Alan E. Thomas, Celebrant. Committal at Calvary Cemetery.
