Regina B. Friedenberger, 84, of Altoona, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Cecil H. and Anna M. (Kuhn) Gority.

She married Joseph Friedenberger on Dec. 26, 1959, sharing 65 years of marriage.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph; four children: Mary C. (David Keith) of Altoona, Timothy E. (Ginger) in Tennessee, Theresa Lasure (Monty Smith) of Pittsburgh and Mark (Theresa) of Altoona; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael J. Friedenberger; two sisters; and seven brothers.

Regina was a graduate of Altoona Catholic High School and retired as a seamstress from Tri-Tex, Altoona.

A devout member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of The Catholic Daughters of Americas, where she was a "Disciple of Hope" and received many medals for her service to the Lord.

Regina loved crocheting blankets for her family, gardening and famously beating her husband at Scrabble and her children at cards. Most of all she enjoyed visits from family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2025, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2025, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Altoona.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 5514 Roselawn Ave., Altoona, PA 16602.
