Mark L. "Bear" Rickard, 71, of Enola, died Sunday morning at his home. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Gordon D. and Dorothy L. (Campbell) Rickard.
Surviving are his siblings, Patricia A. (Gregory Sr.) Delozier and Susan J. Sipe, both of Roaring Spring, and Kimberly R. (Thomas) Heverly of Duncansville; many nieces and nephews; and his Godson and caregiver, Chad Rittel.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Gross.
Mark earned his associates degree at Thompson Institute, Harrisburg.
He retired as an accountant from Highmark and was also employed as a supervisor/consultant for PennDOT.
When visiting family, he attended Martinsburg Brethren in Christ Church.
Mark enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid sports fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Pirates and Steelers. One of his favorite treats were Christmas cookies, especially snickerdoodles.
His greatest joy was time spent with his family.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Michael R. Abell officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow.
