John W. Patterson Sr., 85, of Altoona, passed away Saturday. He was born in Claysburg, son of the late James and Mary Margaret Patterson. Surviving are his wife, Janet; sons, John and Christopher; a stepson, Bobby; his grandchildren; and siblings: Kenneth, Woody, King, Rodney, Marlene, Phillis, Jackie and Charlene. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jammie Boggs; and siblings: Barbara, Beverly, Marion, Starlith, Mike and Jimmy. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Rose Hill Funeral & Cremation Care Inc., 118 Rosehill Cemetery Drive, Altoona.
