Gary McCloskey Sr., 85, of Gallitzin, passed away Monday. He was born in Gallitzin, son of the late Charles and Ethel (Cornell) McCloskey. Surviving are his wife, Mary; children: Cheryl Weidner, Gary Jr., Tony, Ed and Irene; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Miller; and a brother, William. Gary was a U.S. Army veteran. Friends will gather from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Gibbons-Houser Funeral Home Inc., 301 Church St., Gallitzin. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2025, at St. Demetrius Church, Gallitzin.
