Gary Lee "Hector" Helbig, 70, Patton, died Thursday. He was born in Spangler, son of the late John and Caroline (Simmers) Helbig. He was also predeceased by brothers, Irvan and Bobby. Surviving are his wife, Donna; children, Kimberly Penrod and Jason Helbig; grandchildren, Michael and Jocelyn; siblings: William "Bill," Philip and Kathy; and nieces and nephews: Mandy, Shannan, Cole, Travis and Phil. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Stevens Funeral Home Inc., Patton, 10004 N. Fifth Ave., Patton. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the funeral home.
