Frank P. ‘Nutch’ Pulcinello Sr.

Frank P. "Nutch" Pulcinello Sr., 98, of Reightown, Antis Township, died Tuesday morning at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Bellwood, a son of the late Pantaleono and Rosie (Marasco) Pulcinello.

On Oct. 3, 1951, he married Jennie F. Fiochetta at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona. She preceded him in death on Sept. 21, 2018, after 66 years of marriage.

Surviving are his three children: Frank P. Jr. (Deb) of Bellwood, Roseanne Markley of Hollidaysburg and Beth (Dan) Hand of Tyrone; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; many special friends, including the four amigos; and special friend and caregiver, Jeanine Chestney.

He was the last of his immediate family, preceded by nine siblings: Joe, James, Raymond, John, Nick, Della Segany, Alice Dionia, Carmella Johnson and Annie Allen; and a son-in-law, Dean Markley.

During World War II, Nutch proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard for three years and continued his service, enlisting in the U.S. Army. He retired as a carman at Conrail.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellwood.

An avid Notre Dame fan, Nutch also enjoyed Bellwood-Antis sports, especially watching his grandchildren play. A faithful fan, he attended many Bellwood-Antis Blue Devil football games.

He enjoyed woodworking, reading and volunteering his time at Health South, Altoona.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood, where a vigil will also be held.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellwood, with the Rev. Michael Pleva as celebrant. Committal with military honors will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.

The family suggests that contributions in Nutch's memory be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellwood.
