Edith B. "Edie" Trinks, 93, of Altoona, died Wednesday morning at Cedarwood Rehabilitation & Healthcare, Tyrone. She was born in Revloc, a daughter of the late Gustav and Emilie (Malsatzki) Badorrek.
She married Karl H. Trinks on Sept. 12, 1959. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2001.
Surviving are her daughter, Lynne E. Trinks of Altoona; a sister-in-law, Soon Nam Badorrek of Altoona; five nephews: Gerard Badorrek (Barb) in Virginia, Hal Badorrek (Gail) of Altoona, Eric Badorrek in Delaware, Keith Badorrek (Kathy) in Maryland and Jimmy Badorrek (Anne) in Texas; eight grand-nieces and grand-nephews: Tyler, Trevor, Brian, Kim Boger, Adam, Megan, Jordan and Henry; and four great-grand-nieces and nephews: Evan, Hallie Boger, Isaac and Logan.
Edie was preceded in death by a brother, Gunther Badorrek.
Mrs. Trinks was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Altoona.
She was a graduate of Ebensburg High School.
Edie retired as a loan officer from First National Bank, Altoona.
A private viewing and funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family, with the Rev. Ralph W. Hamer officiating.
Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
