Dorothy Mae Kurash, 87, Gallitzin, died Thursday. She was born in Lilly, daughter of Steve and Eva Shedlock. Surviving are her children, Brian and Jody; two grandsons; and siblings: William, Patrick, Patricia and Sonja. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; and siblings, Thomas and Jean. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2025, at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church St., Gallitzin. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at St. Francis Xavier Church, Cresson. Committal will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
