David F. Eger, 91, Cresson, died Monday. He was born in Lilly, son of the late James and Laura Eger, and his stepmother, the late Laverne Eger. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara "Barb"; eight siblings; and great-granddaughter, Mavis Seymore. Surviving are children: Karen Seymore, Donna Thompson, Robert and John Eger; siblings: Dorothy Glenn, Waneda Eger and Gerard Eger; and numerous grandchildren. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church St., Gallitzin. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2025, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Cresson.
