Daniel C. King, 32, of Duncansville, passed away Friday with his dog, Gunner, by his side. He was born in McConnellsburg, son of the late Chester "Curt" King and Phyllis (Kauffman) Bolen.
He married Lindsay B. Kensinger in 2019.
Surviving are his wife of six years; a daughter, Brooklyn; a son, Curtis; his mother and stepfather, Don, of Thomasville; his stepmother, Kimberly Mathews-King of Hollidaysburg; a grandmother, Pauline King; a sister, Stacey King; two stepsisters, Melinda Mathews and Paige Bolen; a stepbrother, Trey Mathews; and nieces and nephews.
Dan was preceded in death by his stepsister, Shaela Bolen.
He was a 2012 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and served in the Army National Guard for eight years.
Dan was a Corrections Officer at SCI Benner.
He enjoyed bowling, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends.
Friends will be received from noon until 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2025, at Faith Assembly, Roaring Spring, where a funeral service with military honors will immediately follow at 2 p.m.
Private interment at New St. Mary Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
