Bernadette Anne Hmiel, 87, Lilly, passed away Monday at University Hospital Geauga, Chardon, Ohio. She was born in Lilly, daughter of the late John and Pearl (Dubis) Starchville.
She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Hmiel; and twin sister, Bernadine Starchville.
Bernadette worked as a seamstress in several garment factories and she often made her own clothing. She enjoyed gardening vegetables, cooking and was known for creating her own recipes.
At the request of the family, there will be no services and burial will be private.
