She loved Jesus and spent her whole life serving Him with a ministry of sending cards and making phone calls to keep in touch and pray for those in need. She served in the prayer ministry of her church, Altoona First Church of the Brethren, until her death. Shirley loved her family and always had family gatherings at her home.
