Rose J. Emerick, 99, of Altoona, passed away Sunday at Hilltop Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Giuseppe and Assunta (Ferrero) Viele.
Rose married James Emerick who preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 1994.
She is survived by her son and his wife, Anthony Emerick (Cheryl) of Altoona; four grandchildren: Michael, Christina, William Jr. and Stacey; and many great-grandchildren.
Rose was a retired waitress with Howard Johnson.
She was a member of The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament.
Rose enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles and loved taking care of her family.
Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2025, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. in the Stevens Memorial Chapel.
Interment will be held at Carson Valley Cemetery.
