Robert A. Howard, 65, Altoona, passed away unexpectedly Friday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Roaring Spring, the son of the late Frederick and Vera (Coccia) Howard Sr.
On March 27, 2004, he married Deborah Kelly.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Deborah; two stepsons, Tim (Jamie) Zielinski and Joe (Jessica) Zielinski, both of Dallastown; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Frederick Howard Jr. of Altoona.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Howard; and two sisters, Sarah Hitching and Jennifer Stoner.
Bob was a graduate of Altoona Area High School and retired from Juniata Silk Mill. Previously, he worked at Altoona Water Authority.
He enjoyed snake collecting.
Bob was a good man who would do anything for anybody. He will be deeply missed.
Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2025, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will be held immediately following at 6 p.m. in Stevens Memorial Chapel by Pastor Bill Ice.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Claysburg.
