Judy A. (Reffner) Tyack, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Wednesday morning, June 4, 2025, at her residence after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Helen (Boyer) Reffner.
Judy is survived by four children: Karen Bogel of Martinsburg, Renee Smith (Jim) of Duncansville, Bobby Jo Tyack (Kevin) of Altoona and Shawn Tyack of Altoona; four grandchildren: Kevin Tyack, Jessica Weidel, Isabel Smith and Jimmy Smith Jr.; 13 great-grandchildren; and her Pomeranian/Chihuahua, Bear.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Tyack, on Aug. 25, 2020; and a grandson, Justin D. Hardin, on July 4, 2016.
Mrs. Tyack had been a caregiver, bartender, retail worker and a very generous/gracious matriarch of her family. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2025, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona, where a memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Brian Sandell officiating.
