John F. ‘Jack’ Fulton

John F. “Jack” Fulton, 95, Altoona, passed away Friday at Graystone Manor, Altoona.

He was born in Gallitzin, son of the late David and Gladys (Cornell) Fulton.

Surviving are daughters: Kimberly (Ray) McCloskey, Christine (Jim) Lybarger and Karen (Dave) Swain; a son-in-law, Matt Itle; a sister, Donna Miller; sisters-in-law, Dottie Fulton and Roberta Fulton; grandchildren: Shannon Itle, Jody (Adam) Conrad, David Lybarger, Nickole (Jason) Bender and Brian (Joanne) Lybarger; great-grandchildren: Jacob, Ella and Clair Conrad, Molly, Ava and Emily Itle, Tristan Lybarger and Eli Bender.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy L. (Plunkett); second wife, Anna (Lumbatis); special friend, Carol Patterson; daughters, Debra Fulton and Beth Itle; and brothers: James, David, Robert, William and Wayne.

John served in the U.S. Army as military police. He also drove a school bus, worked for Vale Wood Farms and worked for the railroad as a block operator, retiring after 34 years. He was a member of the former Cresson United Methodist Church and was an active volunteer with the Cresson food pantry. He was a member of the Blue Knob Ski Club and enjoyed downhill skiing.

He also loved traveling, especially out west, and remarked that the Badlands National Park was his favorite.

Family and friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2025, with a time of service to begin at 6 p.m. at Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 233 Keystone Ave., Cresson, Pastor Terry Farr, officiant.
