John A. Taylor Jr.

He married Patricia Etters in 1974, who preceded him in death in 2022 after 48 years of marriage.

Surviving are his two daughters, Jacklyn Weibley and Cathleen Taylor; two stepsons, Dwayne Haun and wife, Dena, and Garry Haun and wife, JoAnn; four grandchildren: Paige, Megan, Marissa and James; several step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, David and wife, Lynn, and Daniel and wife, Aggie; several nieces; and a special nephew.

He was preceded in death by a stepson, Mark Haun.

John was a 1965 graduate of Southwest Butler High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

He worked as an insurance salesman, a financial manager at Fiore and retired as an over-the-road truck driver.

John was a Girl Scout leader and enjoyed playing bingo at the VA, archery, bowling and hunting.

Friends and family will be received from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m.
