George R. Socash, 59, of Altoona, passed away Saturday. He was born in Phillipsburg, son of the late Fredrick Sr. and Mary (Myers) Socash. Surviving are his wife, Connie (Marlett); a daughter, Lisa Watkins; a granddaughter, Dezi; four sisters: Kimberly Hudak, Tracy Mulhall, Dawn Marie and Tammy Jo; three brothers: Fredick Jr., Glenn and Shawn; and three dogs: Shebba, Casper and Patches. He was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Sewell. George enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
