Elaine M. Glashauser, 83, of Roaring Spring, died Saturday at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Andrew J. and Mary L. (Fleck) Schneiderbauer.
She married Heinz F. Glashauser on Dec. 29, 1973, in Bellwood. He preceded her in death March 6, 1997.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law; and a granddaughter.
Mrs. Glashauser was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Altoona.
Elaine was a 1959 graduate of Altoona Catholic High School and a 1963 graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree.
She retired as a teacher from the Altoona Area School District in 1997 following 30 years’ service.
Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling and traveling. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Birthday Club.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Father James Dugan officiating.
Interment will be made at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
