A. Jolene McCullough

Jolene married Kenneth G. McCullough on May 24, 1952, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Gallitzin. He preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 1995.

She is survived by her son, Gregory McCullough (Christine); and daughter, Lorraine Roth, all of Altoona; four grandchildren: Grant, Derek, Ashley and Chase McCullough (Alyssa); and a great-grandchild, Maverick.

Jolene was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Wayne Roth; four brothers: Russell, Francis, Paul and Leo Bender; and three sisters: Ruth Gabriel, Edna Deibert and Rose Bender.

She was a 1947 graduate of Gallitzin High School and a 1950 graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing – Johnstown. Jolene had a career as a registered nurse with over 30 years of service, working at Altoona Hospital and as a private duty nurse.

Jolene was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church.

She was a member of the Altoona Catholic Nurses and the Altoona Hospital Nurses Alumni Association.

Jolene enjoyed reading a good book and doing puzzles.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2025, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2025, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 416 Sixth Ave., Altoona, with Father Brad Baldwin, TOR, celebrant. Committal will be held at Blair Memorial Park.

The family requests that contributions be made in Jolene’s memory to St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 416 Sixth Ave., Altoona, PA 16602.
