Tabitha Hale Brown of Duncansville, born Sept. 8, 1973, in Bethesda, Md., went home to be with the Lord peacefully on April 21, 2025, at UPMC Altoona after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was the daughter of Lt. Col. Palmer and Carolyn (Moffett) Brown.
Tabitha attended Kailua Church Christian School in Kailua, Hawaii, and graduated from Montrose Christian Academy in Rockville, Md. She furthered her education at Montgomery Community College, Rockville, Md., and Washington Bible College, Lanham, Md.
Tabitha held various professional positions, including roles at the National Association of Securities Dealers, The Windermere Group, BAE Systems, Carma International, Castle Concepts and American K-9 Detection Services Inc.
Tabitha's years of growing up on various military installations instilled in her a sense of service and pride in all who serve in the military services. She co-founded and served as the national director of Keystone Pinups/Keystone Patriots, a nonprofit organization supporting veterans, military personnel and first responders, where she was known as Lana L'amour. She participated in the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum's WWII Weekend, wearing contemporary military uniforms. She also had a modeling career.
Her years of Christian upbringing and schooling formed a compassion for suffering peoples around the world. She actively worked with Open Doors Ministry with Brother Andrew, Concerned Women of America and various other philanthropic organizations around the world.
Tabitha is survived by her parents; siblings, Tammy L. Brown and Palmer D. Brown; a special niece, Justine Anderson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private service will be held for the family, with a gathering for friends and family planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society to help end ovarian cancer as we know it.
