Sally Anne Sprow, 87, of Altoona, died Sunday evening at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, Altoona. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Homer Charles and Cora Louise (Mahaffey) Spiers.
Surviving are her son, Jeffrey E. Sprow; grandson, Jeffrey E. Sprow II (Rebecca); great-grandson, Keldon E. Holland, all of Altoona; sister, Jean L. Smithbauer of Woolrich; Dr. Mark C. Spiers of Ridgway; and fiance, James Morgart, of St. Michael.
Sally was preceded in death by her former husband, Melvin L. Sprow, in May 1990; and a granddaughter, Brandi Holland.
She attended Faith United Church of Christ, Altoona, and the Christian Missionary Alliance in St. Michael when she lived there.
Sally was a 1955 graduate of Altoona High School.
She retired as a data processor from Norfolk Southern in June 2000 following 34 years' service.
She enjoyed camping and traveling, and was a member of the National Association of Railway Businesswomen.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until noon Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Faith United Church of Christ, 711 Seventh Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at noon with Pastor John L. Emig officiating.
Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
Arrangements are by Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona.
