Joy M. (Parisi) Morrison, 81, of Altoona, entered into eternal rest on Thursday surrounded by her family at her home in Altoona. Joy was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Virginia (Rubine) Parisi and Michael Parisi.
In addition to her parents, Joy was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Karen Parisi.
Joy is survived by her loving husband, James A. Morrison, whom she married at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church on July 31, 1965. She is also survived by her loving children: Jackie (Jeff) Hazlett, Jeanie (Scott) Stirk and James (Christine) Morrison; her siblings, Michael (Martha) Parisi and William Parisi; and her loving grandchildren: Devon Morrison and Emilee and Tyler Stirk.
Joy was Catholic by faith and a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Altoona for many years.
She graduated from Altoona High School and worked for State Farm as an Office Manager for over 40 years.
In her free time, Joy loved spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved cooking and feeding her family, as well as watching sports and gardening.
The Morrison family would like to send special thanks to the ladies that took wonderful care of Joy through Asera Care Hospice: Michelle, Romona, Sherry, Dawn, Peggy and Trish.
At the request of the deceased, no services will be held.
