Joseph John Atty, 85, passed away April 30, 2025, in Daytona Beach, Fla., of complications after a fall. He was born in Altoona
and graduated from Altoona High School in 1957; and Penn State University in 1961.
Joe served in the U.S. Army for three years in Germany.
He worked as a claims adjuster for Social Security in Philadelphia.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Said Atty (Atiyeh) and Minnie Mary Nader.
Surviving are his sisters, Janice Atty and Linda Nelson; a brother, George Atty; and nieces, Julie and Shelby Taylor.
