Genevieve Soisson, 81, of Derwood, Md., formerly of Loretto, died Friday. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rita (Seymour, Nelen) Hoover and Lawrence Nelen; her husband, Charles; and a brother, Gerald. Surviving are children: Linda Sigg, Kathy Ramsey, Brian, Kevin, Mark and Jason; siblings: Pat, Paul, Jim, Rosie and Rhonda; and grandchildren: Jimmy, Alex, Derek, Sidney, Tony, Madison, Andie, Tommy, Dakota, Nick, Grant and Luke. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Gibbons Funeral Home, Gallitzin. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2025, at St. Michael's Basilica, Loretto.
