Father David William Kraeger TOR, a member of the Franciscan Friars of the Third Order Regular, Province of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, passed away Thursday at the age of 84.
Father David is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Grace (Greene) Kraeger; and his sister, Irma Post.
He was born in Lowville, N.Y., and is survived by his two remaining sisters, Janice Pastor and Debra Kraeger; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2025, at Saint Francis Friary, located at Mount Assisi in Loretto, Pa.
A Vigil Prayer Service will be held at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Saint Francis Friary at Mount Assisi, with the Most Rev. Michael J. Higgins T.O.R., Vicar Provincial as principal
celebrant. Following the Mass, interment will take place at the Franciscan Friars' Cemetery on the campus of Saint Francis University, Loretto.
In place of flowers, memorial offerings for the Friars' Retirement Fund can be made payable to Franciscan Friars T.O.R., P.O. Box 500, Loretto, PA 15940.
