Barrie J. Gregory, 85, passed away Friday at Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg. He was born in Latrobe, a son of the late Gilbert and Alice Ruffner Gregory.
For many years, he was the owner and operator of Gregory's Plumbing and Heating.
He had been a member, choir member and trustee for many years at Latrobe United Methodist Church, belonged to Masonic Temple Lodge #275, had been a member of the Latrobe Drum and Bugle Corps, had been a Latrobe city councilman and had been an assistant fire chief at Latrobe Hook & Ladder Company #2.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce E. James Gregory; and a son, Brian A. Gregory.
He is survived by his children, James Gregory and his wife, Lynn, and Gwyneth A. Gregory (Nick Ker); a brother, William Gregory; a sister, Susan Liebert (Lanny); a sister-in- law, Susan Gregory; three grandsons: Matthew (Lauren), Mitchell and Jared; and several nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2025, at Unity Chapel, 130 Chapel Lane, Latrobe.
Arrangements are by McCabe Funeral Home.
