William F. Graham Jr.

William F. Graham Jr., formerly of Gap, Pa., but a more recent resident of James Creek, passed away Sunday at the age of 80. Bill was born in Lancaster, son of the late William F. "Pete" Sr. and Geraldine Wise Graham.

He graduated from Octorara Area High School in Atglen, Pa., Class of 1962.

Bill was a devoted family man and husband of the late Janice Deaton Graham for 46 years before her passing on June 13, 2016.

Bill was a very active man who enjoyed his work and travel during the majority of his career in the transportation and trucking industry. He also devoted many years as an EMT and volunteer firefighter and enjoyed working as a driver for various companies. He was an active member of the PMTA (Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association).

Bill had a lifelong passion for the outdoors, the family dogs, hunting, RVing and traveling with his family. He was also known for his generosity and reliability to friends and strangers alike. In more recent years, he enjoyed playing bingo and supporting the local fire companies where he played. He loved spending time with his family at Trough Creek State Park and riding around Raystown Lake on the Proud Mary Steamboat.

Bill and Susie were devoted and loving parents to their surviving daughter, Valerie Graham of James Creek, and her partner, John Parkolay II. Bill is also survived by his niece, Holly Hilton Hagenberger of Tampa, Fla.; and his grand-nephew, Wade Barron of Tampa, Fla.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry L. and Terry D. Graham Sr.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Shivery Funeral Home, Christiana, Pa.
