Naomi B. Dunlap

March 28, 1937 – April 11, 2025

Naomi B. Dunlap, 88, of Antis Township, died early Friday morning at Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone. She was born in Houtzdale, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Gladys (Beck) Jones.

She married Harold H. Dunlap, who preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 2014.

Surviving are her two sons, Roy of Altoona and Bruce J. (Tina) of Bellwood; two grandchildren, Jeremy and Alex; two sisters, Elaine Stremmel of York and Aldona Burkholder of Orlando, Fla.

She was preceded in death by siblings: Marie Beecher, Doris Beck, George, Benjamin Jr. and Bruce.

Naomi was formerly employed as a packer at General Cigar Plant, Philipsburg, from 1958-62.

For five years, she volunteered her time at St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen in Tyrone.

She enjoyed antiquing and going for rides over the mountain with her sisters. One of her greatest joys was her train ride through Canada.

Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2025, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Michael Pleva officiating. Committal will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
