Janet L. Cullen, 82, of Altoona, passed away Wednesday morning at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Robert and Belva (Pennel) Doll.
Janet married Herman W. "Mike" Cullen on
Dec. 30, 1964. He preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa A. Cullen, on Sept. 16, 2014; and a sister, Carol Doll.
She is survived by her sister, Kay Monahan of Altoona; dear friend, Charles Gibbons of Altoona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Janet was a 1962 graduate of Altoona High School and went on to lovingly take care of her family and her home.
Janet was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church and the Greenwood Fire Hall.
She enjoyed doing plastic canvas crafts, knitting and cooking for her family.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2025, at The
Stevens Mortuary Inc.,
1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona; and from 10 until the
11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the funeral home, where a funeral service will immediately follow in the Stevens Memorial Chapel with Father Nelson Javier.
Interment will be held at Carson Valley Cemetery.
