James L. Harker, 86, of Duncansville, passed away Sunday at his home. He was a son of the late Leroy and Olive (Himes) Harker.
He is survived by a son, James P. Harker; grandchildren, Jessica (Harker) Singer and Justin Harker; great-grandchildren: Layla Beck, Jayce Singer and Skylyn Singer; and a cousin, Bernard Harker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ron Harker.
James served in the United States Army.
After the service, James worked as a machinist for Conrail until his retirement.
He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and enjoyed riding four-wheelers, raising animals on his deer farm, hunting, fishing and traveling.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Alto-Reste Park, Altoona, with full military honors being conducted by the Blair County Honor Guard.
