Frederick L. Fink Sr., 85, of Tyrone, and a guest at Graystone Manor, Altoona, passed away Sunday. He was born in Tyrone, son of the late John S. and Elizabeth (Catich) Fink.
On Aug. 22, 1959, in Bellwood, he married Patricia L. "Patsy" (Kinch) Fink, who preceded him in death on Aug. 29, 1992.
He is survived by six children: Frederick L. (Marcia) Fink Jr., Cindy (Chip) Brown, Jeffrey (Angie), Michael (Shelly), David (Melissa) and Christopher (Sue) Fink; 11 grandchildren: Kaylee, Ryan, Trevor, Maddie, Tom, Marisa, Colby, Cody, Kyle, Annalee and Lydia; five great-grandchildren: Maddy, Mason, Peyton, Jackson and one on the way; and a sister, Annette Lightner.
Fred was a 1957 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School. He was a member of First English Lutheran Church. He retired from WestVaco Paper Company.
Fred liked riding his bike, and was often seen throughout Tyrone, and meeting up with his buddies at Burger King. He was also an avid Tyrone football and wrestling fan and loved Walt Disney World. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
The family would like to thank the staff at Graystone Manor for their kind and compassionate care during Fred's time there.
Friends will be received from 2 until the 4 p.m. funeral service Sunday, April 27, 2025, at First English Lutheran Church, with Pastor Sharon Erb officiating. Private interment will be made at Eastlawn Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone.
