Barbara A. Sanchez, 83, Allegheny Township, Cross Keys, passed away Tuesday afternoon at her residence with her husband and her special friend, Barb, by her side.
She was born in Johnstown, daughter of the late Carl and Helen (Gaston) Mattern. On July 1, 1989, she married Philip A. Sanchez in Duncansville.
Surviving are her husband: Phil; two daughters, Kim (Ken) Ottis and Tracy (Carey) Kain; two stepchildren, Dana Hainley and Joseph (Robin) Sanchez; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; special friends, Barbara Koofer and Bertie Franks; a sister, Donna Wehner; and a brother, Dick Mattern.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kaliegh Ottis.
Barb was formerly employed as a sewing machine operator for Tritex.
She enjoyed making flower arrangements.
Friends and family will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona.
Private inurnment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
