Susan Marie Casalvieri, 83, Altoona, passed away Monday morning at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Howard and Margaret (Baker) Wendle.
Susan was twice married, first to Grant Snowberger and secondly to William Casalvieri.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, William; four children: Michael Snowberger (Lori Webber), Mitchell Casalvieri (Becky) and Denise Klausman (Jim), all of Altoona, and Lori Brodsky (Russell) in Delaware; nine grandchildren: Jarrod Klausman (Christie), Joshua Klausman (Ashleigh), Jordan Klausman (Kristin), Brandon and Nathan Brodsky, Chaesare Zimmerman (DJ), Kalim Snowberger (Kayle), Sam and Simon Casalvieri; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Susan was the last surviving member of her immediate family and had been preceded in death by two brothers; and five sisters.
She was a graduate of Altoona High School and retired after 12 years of service at Health South Rehabilitation Hospital as their chef. Susan previously worked at Luigetta's and Millers Corner as a cook.
Susan enjoyed cooking and especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2025, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
