Roberta M. Goss

On Sept. 18, 1965, she was united in marriage to Kenneth L. Goss, who preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 2011.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Wonderly, married to Richard; a son, Steven Goss, married to Kristen; grandchildren, Maeve Wonderly and Penn Goss; brother, David I. Lynch; nine nephews; and three nieces.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, James Lynch and William Lynch.

Roberta was a graduate of Altoona High School, Class of 1951, and graduated with an associate’s degree from the Altoona School of Commerce.

Roberta worked as a bookkeeper for Ford Beasley Motor Rebuilders, as well as the church secretary and choir director for Broad Avenue Presbyterian Church.

She was a member of Ward Avenue Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir and acted as the bell choir director. She was also a member of the Women’s Club of Altoona, The Blair Concert Chorale and Altoona Community Theater.

Friends and family will be received from 1 until the 4 p.m. funeral service Sunday, March 16, 2025, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona, with the Rev. Brian Choi officiating.
