Robert F. “Bob” Lenz, 63, unexpectedly passed away Friday at his home. He was born in Altoona, the son of R. Raymond Lenz of Cresson and the late Herlene (Muldoon) Lenz.
He graduated from Penn State University in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in art, specializing in photography. Bob had a distinguished career as a professional photographer, working at The York Newspaper Co. throughout the 1980s and 1990s. He was an active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Sons of the American Legion in Gallitzin and a life member of Lincoln Engine Company #9 in York, where he also volunteered as a firefighter.
Bob found joy in “making photographs,” camping, kayaking, fly-fishing, the outdoors, tending to his gardens and anything related to music.

Lenz of York and Travis J. and wife, Sabrina Lenz, of Lancaster; three grandchildren: Allison, Madelyn and Clark; a brother, Patrick J.
