Randy E. Cornelius, 71, Altoona, died Thursday morning at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Clarence E. and Catherine V. (Stouch) Cornelius.
On March 27, 1981, he married Gloria Jean Renney in Altoona.
Surviving are his wife; his children: Jayme (Jim) Cornelius Raihl, Rebecca (Bob) Harris Schaefer, Robyn (Todd) Harris Streightiff, Robert (Becky) Harris and Paul (Nina) Harris III; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings: Rodney, Ralph and Clarence Cornelius and Kathy Bowmaster and Sue Burket; lifelong friends, Bill and Vicky Patterson; his special friend, Mary; and his loyal canine companion, Mr. Cooper.
Randy was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired as an exterminator at Orkin. He also drove bus #47 for Blair Senior Services, Altoona, where he was known as "Rocking Randy."
He was a member of Bavarian Aid Society, Newburg Volunteer Fire Department and Loyal Order of Moose, Altoona.
Randy was an avid Notre Dame fan. He enjoyed working around the house, decorating for the holidays and clowning around.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, Pastor Terry Farr officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
