Mudge

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul J. Mudge Jr., 78, of Duncansville, who peacefully entered the presence of the Lord on Friday. He was born in Anacostia, Washington, D.C., son of the late Paul J. Sr. and Viola M. (VanAken) Mudge.

He married the former Rebecca M. Focht on Oct. 29, 1988, in Altoona.

Surviving is his wife; two daughters, Paula Chase and Michele Mudge; eight grandchildren: Charity, Samantha, Peyton, Weston, Chace, Treyton, Keaton and Little Ricky; four great-grandchildren: Haile, Bentley, Maci and Judea; and three siblings: JoAnn Coleman and George and Johnny Mudge.

He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Mudge.

Paul retired from Giant, Local Union #400, after 32 years of service.

He was a former pastor at Asbury Church in Maryland and attended Puzzletown Road Bible Church.

He loved going to the beach and enjoyed sitting on the boardwalk with his son.

Paul leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, strength and service. He was a man of deep faith and his love for God was evident in everything he did. He always put his family and faith first above all else.

Paul lived for his family. Before his time was up, his goal was to make as many memories as possible and he sure did achieve that above and beyond. He was a man of few words, but what he did say left an impact, never to be forgotten. He was a true example of strength, who always had a listening ear and a helping hand to offer.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cremation is by Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Duncansville.
