Matthew C. Johnson, 38, of Duncansville, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona after a brief illness. He was born in Altoona, a son of Charles and Tami (Hoover) Johnson.
Surviving are his parents; a brother, Zachary (Rachel); three nephews: Ryan, Mason and Gage; and a niece, Alexis.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Homer Hoover Jr., in 2017.
Matt graduated from Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School and Penn State with a degree in agribusiness management.
He was employed by Sheetz as a merchandising coordinator.
Matt was a life member of the Duncansville Fire Company and was also a member of the Alpha Fire Company out of State College.
He enjoyed spending time with his nephews and niece, gaming and Penn State sports.
Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 6 p.m.
