John T. Houp

Surviving are four children: Emily Weitzel, Mackenzie Fayson, Elizabeth Houp and Trenton Frye; five siblings: George Detwiler, Ann Thomas, Cindy Wolfe, Maxine Wert and Frank Dick Jr.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jared Houp.

John was employed as a truck driver for Sel-Lo Oil for the past three years. He was previously employed as a cable installer for Figure 8 Communications Inc.

John enjoyed working on cars, riding his motorcycle, being outside with his kids and acting like a kid. He was always ready to lend a hand to anyone that needed help.

Friends will be received from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the funeral home to help with expenses.
