Jane H. (McCloskey) Lutz, 80, of Altoona, passed away peacefully at her home Sunday morning, March 23, 2025. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Sarah (Tittler) McCloskey.
Jane married Carl E. "Sonny" Lutz on Sept. 5, 1964, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Hollidaysburg.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 60 years, Carl "Sonny"; her three children: Steve (Robin) Lutz, Denise (Mark) Watson and Amy Gilbert; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Jane is also survived by her siblings: Rosemary McCloskey, Paul (Linda) McCloskey, Karen (Bill) Caughey, Paula Jean McCloskey, Paulette McCloskey and Michael (Darlene) McCloskey.
Jane was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Gibson.
A 1963 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School, she retired from JCPenney Co.
Jane embodied the very definition of love and motherhood. Her generosity extended beyond her family to any child in the community that she knew had a need. She particularly enjoyed stretching that generosity with her savvy shopping skills and styling.
Per Jane's wishes, there will be no viewing or services. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.
