Hunter Benjamin Hamilton, 28, Lyleville, Coalport, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025, after a short but courageous battle with melanoma.
He was the son of Richard A. and Kim E. (Peacock) Hamilton and devoted brother to Patrick (Brittany Lantz).
Surviving are his grandmothers, Ann Hamilton and Alice J. O'Donnell; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, David C. Hamilton Sr. and maternal grandfather, Donald J. Peacock.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, Hunter lived life with passion and a free spirit. He found joy on the open road, riding his Harley Davidson. He was a member of the Animals MC and the Glendale Volunteer Fire Department. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, exploring nature and cheering on the Pittsburgh Penguins. During his final days, his brother Patrick never left his side, tirelessly caring for him with gentle compassion and love. Hunter was known for his infectious smile, legendary eyelashes, "like a broom," and his ability to give the best hugs. His warmth and larger than life presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who were lucky enough to know him.
Friends will be received from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2025, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Gibbons Funeral Home, 1085 Main St., Coalport, the Rev. Jonathan Hendren officiating. Interment will be at Utahville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Central PA Humane Society in Hunter's memory.
